TSAC applied on splash zone of installed offshore platform.

SUMMARY

Thermal spray aluminum coatings are one of the most

effective ways to protect the corrosion-prone splash zones

of offshore marine structures. TSACs offer a cost effective

and reliable way to enhance the structure’s service life when

applied carefully. However, successful implementation that

must adhere to a strict timeline requires a systematic ap-

proach for monitoring the process. Proper coordination with

respect to planning and execution is essential. Monitoring

includes extensive quality control and inspections at each

step of the TSAC application process to ensure high coating

quality and optimize lifecycle cost.
