ABOUT THE AUTHOR Arpan Dasgupta is a principal engineer in the photonics packaging and test team at GlobalFoundries. His expertise lies in co-packaged optics, fiber-to-chip couplers and diagnostic capabilities. Prior to joining GF, he was a researcher at UCLA CHIPS where he worked on heterogeneous integration. Dasgupta has completed his M.S. at ECE from UCLA and bachelor’s degree at the Heritage Institute of Technology.
