Student board members are required to attend the Society’s board meetings and take an active role in promoting organizational growth. In EDFAS, the student board member (the author of this article) is responsible for managing the discussion, progress, and continuation of the SYP committee, and for working with the EDFAS Board to meet targeted SYP objectives. The success of these programs will establish a sustainable foundation for continually connecting students with educational and career opportunities in the EDFAS community. Ultimately, this will help cultivate a passionate and well-prepared workforce for the dynamic and high-stakes microelectronics and semiconductor sectors.
