Renee Parente has been affiliated with AMD since 1995. She is currently an operations director in the Technology and Product Engineering Organization in Austin, Texas, where she directly supports a senior vice president in critical dual roles as chief of staff and business operations leader. She is an organizational development leader accountable for her global organization’s capital asset management, financial forecast, R&D organization development management, and employee engagement activities. Parente is a strong believer in building a community through industry involvement and volunteering. She is the 2022 ISTFA Tutorial chair and has also served on the ISTFA Organizing Committee multiple years as audio visual chair and as panel chair and then on the attendee committeeand themicroscopy reviewcommittee. Parente is a member of EDFAS’s Women in Electrical Failure Analysis (WEFA) Committee, the EDFAS Lonestar vice president, and the co-chair for AMD Global Operations Technology Showcase. She is also the AMD Women’s Forum lead in Austin, the vice chair of the AMD Austin Community Affairs Council, and a Boy Scouts of America advancement committee chair serving on Eagle Scout boards of reviews. Parente has twenty years of semiconductor process characterization and device analysis laboratory experience. Most recently shewas theAMDAustinDeviceAnalysis lab’s site lead and the Physical Failure Analysis manager responsible for the lab’s business model including the lab’s budget, lab management database system, asset management, lab safety, andphysical failureanalysis tools and technique development. Prior to roles in program management, she was a member of AMD’s technical staff and worked as an individual contributor in various physical analysis labs within AMD andwithin the AMDMotorola Alliance. Parente also served as AMD’s corporate representative on the SEMATECH ICFAC Council (Integrated Circuit Failure Analysis Council) and served on the SEMATECH PIFACCouncil (Package and Interconnect Failure Analysis). She received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Rutgers University. Vision Statement “I aim to promote more connections and conversations within our failure analysis community. This group of people is small, and I believe we must all take ownership and do our part to better it. My personal goals are tomake EDFAS and the ISTFA conference accessible to more individuals and to increase the individual participation rate in
