The FIB, Sample Prep, Contactless Probing and Nanoprobing, and System on Package User Group sessions were held consecutively from Monday through Thursday starting at 11:30 a.m. EST. Each two- hour session had excellent attendance of more than 140 participants, rivaling previous in person User Group events. Participants included analysts from Intel, AMD, GlobalFoundries, Maxim Integrated, Marvell, Thermo Fisher, Brucker, EAG, Northrop Grumman, NXP, ON Semiconductor, Infineon, and Jiaco Instruments, among others. The focus of the user groups was to promote audience participation, interactions among the attendees, networking, and provide a lasting way to communicate critical issues even after the workshop. The moderators, invited speakers, and attendees adapted to the virtual discussion setting very well. Feedback from attendees was very positive about the content, format, and level of participation. Following are summaries of the four EDFAS Virtual User Groups. The User Groups were held in January and featured a new virtual format this year. FOCUSED ION BEAM (FIB) VIRTUAL USER GROUP Moderators: Steven Herschbein, Michael Wong, and Valerie Brogden steven.herschbein@gmail.com , mike.wong@thermofisher.com, vbrogden@uoregon.edu The virtual FIB User Groupmeeting was the first of the four two-hour sessions, andwas held onMonday, January 25. Attendance at its peak was around 128. The format was a modified carryover from prior years, adjusted for an interactive web platform meeting.
