Mrunal Shah, Ph.D. student, University of Virginia, is appointed as a student board member and young professional member for a one-year term. ASM Failure Analysis Society Ronald J. Parrington, FASM, manager – metallurgy and failure analysis, Applied Technical Services Inc., succeeds as president of FAS, while Margaret Flury, senior principal materials engineer, Medtronic, remains on the board as immediate past president. Dustin A. Turnquist, project director, SGH, is appointed as vice president, and Beth Snipes, FASM, materials engineering consultant, is appointed as secretary. Officers serve one-year terms. Joseph Lemberg, senior managing engineer, Exponent, and reappointed Christopher J. Misorski, FASM, Brunswick Fellow, Mercury Marine, are members of the board for a three-year term. Ty Porter, senior engineer, Exponent, is reappointed emerging professional board member for a one-year term. Lilly Schroer, graduate research assistant, Georgia Institute of Technology, is appointed as a student board member for a one-year term. ASM Heat Treating Society Chuck Faulkner, commercial development manager – heat treatment, Quaker Houghton, succeeds as president of HTS, while Benjamin Bernard, VP sales and marketing, Surface Combustion Inc., remains on the board as immediate past president. Lee Rothleutner, manager – materials R&D, The Timken Company, is appointed as vice president and Steven Ferdon, director engineering technology, Cummins Engine Components, is reappointed as secretary.
