FEATURE ADVANCED MATERIALS & PROCESSES | NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2025 38 HEAT TREATING SOCIETY NEWS 4 HTS HONORS PRIME INDUSTRY WINNERS In 2017, ASM’s Heat Treating Society R&D Committee established a new recognition for the best papers in the heat treat industry each year. To be considered for the ASM HTS Prime Industry Contributor recognition, papers must appear in either the HTPro newsletter or be published in ASM’s Heat Treat conference proceedings. All manuscripts from industrial companies (not universities or national labs) are automatically considered on an annual basis. 2025 winners include the following authors and their companies: Tom Hart and Maciej Korecki, SECO/WARWICK, for their presentation entitled “4D HPGQ: An Alternative to Press Quenching for Distortion-free Heat Treatment,” published in the September 2024 issue of HTPro. Joe Brindley, Benoit Daniel, Kieran Massey, Victor Bellido-Gonzalez, Dermot Monaghan, and Thomas Wingens, Gencoa Ltd. and Wingens LLC, for their presentation entitled “True Gas Sensing in Vacuum and Atmosphere, Where RGAs Fail to Go” given at IFHTSE 2024 in Cleveland.
