MEMBERS IN THE NEWS Pathak Kicks Off Lecture Series Udayan Pathak, FASM, delivered the inaugural lecture during this year’s Indian Technology Day in India. Pathak, immediate past chair of the ASM Pune Chapter, spoke on the “Evolution of Automotive” to 75 high school students. He emphasized the importance of materials to support this evolution. Each year on May 11, the Muktangan Exploratory Science Centre at Pune organizes special lectures for high school students to commemorate successful nuclear tests under Operation Shakti and the maiden flight of the domestically developed Hansa-3 aircraft. Pathak shared various metallurgical wonders of India and encouraged students to explore career opportunities in materials engineering. President Manjooran Visits Alma Maters ASM President Navin Manjooran, FASM, made stops this year at the University of Florida in Gainesville and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.
