The awards were acknowledged during this year’s virtual International Thermal Spray Conference and Exposition, held April 29 – May 1. The Editorial Committee of the journal believes it is important to evaluate the quality of engineering and scientific contributions published in JTST and to provide recognition of excellent work and its publication. Each paper is reviewed and evaluated on its merits for scientific and engineering content, originality, and presentation style. The JTST Editorial Board and the ASM Thermal Spray Society Executive Board of Directors extend their congratulations to the winning authors. JTST ANNOUNCES LATEST IMPACT FACTOR The Journal of Thermal Spray Technology Editor- in-Chief, Dr. André McDonald, FASM, is pleased to share that the journal’s 2023 Impact Factor has increased to 3.2, as announced in the 2024 edition of Journal Citation Reports (JCR) released in June by Clarivate. The journal team extends its congratulations to all contributors for their dedication and effort. This achievement can be attributed to the hard work of the journal editors, reviewers, authors, and editorial committee in acquiring and publishing high-quality impactful content. JTST has secured a second quartile position and is ranked number 8 of 23 in the “Materials Science, Coatings & Films” category. The Journal Impact Factor is the ratio of last year’s citations to articles published in the journal in the two previous years.
