They also appointed one new and one reappointed emerging professional board member for a one-year term. Two new student board members have been appointed for a one-year term. ASM International Metallographic Society IMS president, Michael Keeble, U.S. labs and technology manager, Buehler, a division of ITW, and vice president Laura Moyer, director, Lehigh University, welcome two new members for a three-year term: Richard Chinn, research materials engineer, National Energy Technology Lab, and Michael Engstler, head of the editorial office of Practical Metallography, Saarland University, Germany. Reappointed for a three-year term is Michael Connelly, FASM, consultant, Connelly Consulting, and Ellen Link, senior failure analyst/materials engineer, Intertek. Fatima Paolo Soto, undergraduate in materials engineering, Instituto Technologico de Morelia, Mexico, is appointed student board member for a one-year term. ASM International Organization on Shape Memory and Superelastic Technologies Ashley Bucsek, assistant professor, University of Michigan, is appointed as president of SMST and Srinidhi Nagaraja, technical fellow, G. Rau Inc., as vice president/ finance officer, while Othmane Benafan, FASM, materials research engineer, NASA Glenn Research Center, remains on the board as immediate past president. Officers serve a twoyear term. Frederick (Tad) Calkins, technical fellow, Boeing, Maximilien Launey, technical fellow, G. Rau Inc., and William LePage, assistant professor, University of Tulsa, are appointed new members for a three-year term. Tom Duerig, FASM, Confluent Medical Technologies, and Martin Wagner, professor, Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany, are reappointed for a three-year term. Eathan Devine, University of Tulsa, is appointed as a student board member for a one-year term. ASM Thermal Spray Society Rogerio Lima, senior research officer, National Research Council of Canada, succeeds as president of TSS, while WilliamLenling, FASM, TSSHoF, senior distinguished engineer, Thermal Spray Technologies Inc., remains on the board as immediate past president. Andrew Ang, senior research engineer and senior lecturer, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, is appointed vice president and Molly O’Connor, senior research scientist, Praxair Surface Technologies, is appointed secretary. Officers serve a two-year term. Dominique Billieres, business development manager, Saint Gobain Coating Solutions, France, and Georg Mauer, Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Germany, are appointed as new members for a three-year term. Jan Cizek, Institute of Plasma Physics, Czech Academy of Sciences, is appointed a new member for a two-year term. Luc Bianchi, head of MRO engineering and R&T department, Safran SA, was reappointed for a three-year term.
