In 1987, the scope of this award was broadened to include all engineered materials. The 2022 Award marks the 50th anniversary of ASM’s recognition of Historical Landmarks throughout the world. Be a part of this special anniversary by submit- ting a nomination for the 2022 Historical Landmark award. Nominations for designation of historical landmarks may be submitted by chapters, affiliate societies, committees, coun- cils, award selection committees or by individual members.
