ASM International Metallographic Society IMS President, Daniel Dennies, FASM, principal and CEO, DMS Inc., and vice president Michael Keeble, U.S. labs & technology manager, Buehler, a Division of ITW, welcome new board member Andrew Kitahara, Ph.D. candidate, Carnegie Mellon University, for a three-year term. Steven Gentz, NESC chief engineer, NASA, and Laura Moyer, pro- fessor, Lehigh University, have been reappointed to the board for three-year terms, while James E. Martinez, mate- rials scientist, NASA, immediate past president, and Gee Abraham, STEM writer/editor, Gee Abraham Edits, remain on the board. Officers serve a two-year term. Bernoulli Andilab , Ryerson University, is appointed as student board member for one year. ASM International Organization on Shape Memory and Superelastic Technologies SMST president Othmane Benafan , materials re- search engineer, NASA Glenn Research Center, and Jeremy Schaffer, FASM, senior engineer, Fort Wayne Metals, imme- diate past president, have been reappointed to the board for a second two-year term. Adrian McMahon, principal R&D engineer, Boston Sci- entific SH, has been appointed as vice president/finance officer for a two-year term. The board welcomes the fol- lowing new members for three-year terms: Ashley Bucsek, assistant professor, University of Michigan, and Jochen Ulmer , director semi-finished product division, Euroflex GmbH. Parikshith Kumar, materials scientist on the metals platform, W.L. Gore & Associates Inc., was reappointed for a three-year term. Faith Gantz, University of North Texas, is appointed as student board member for one year. ASM Thermal Spray Society The TSS board appointed a vice president, secretary/ treasurer, and two new members to the board. They also reappointed one member. The committee will select a nominee for 2021-2022 vice president (who will serve as president in 2022-2023) and three nominees for trustee. Candidates for this committee can only be pro- posed by a Chapter through its executive committee, an ASM committee or council, or an affiliate society board. Nominations are due December 15.
