Madilyn Fesenmaier South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Fesenmaier fell in love with mate- rials science and engineering after she attended the ASM Materials Camp at the University of Minnesota. Three summers later, she obtained an intern- ship at Engel Metallurgical. The follow- ing summer, she interned with The Boeing Co., where she supported the CH-47 (Chinook) and V-22 (Osprey) helicop- ter programs. She is entering her third year of the metallur- gical engineering program at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. The Lucille and Charles A. Wert Scholarship The Lucille and Charles A. Wert Scholarship was estab- lished in 2006 through a generous bequest by the couple. It serves as an expression of their commitment to educa- tion and the materials science and engineering community. Tuition of up to $10,000 for the academic year is awarded through this scholarship.
