The Stu- dent Board Member program provides the opportunity to attend four board meetings where the students will meet and work with leading technical professionals and gain leadership skills that will benefit them throughout their career. The next deadline for submissions is April 15, 2020. Details can be found on the ASM website. Kimberly Gliebe Case Western Reserve University Kimberly Gliebe is a Ph.D. student in the department of materials sci- ence and engineering at Case Western Reserve University. She is working on the processing and property relation- ships of single crystal thin film layered oxides. Her research interests include applications for energy storage and renewable energy technology such as photovoltaics. Kimberly graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. She had internships with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the University of Dayton Research Institute, and the Air Force Research Labo- ratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Ashwin Kumar Vanderbilt University Ashwin Kumar is currently enrol- led as a Chancellor’s Scholar in the engineering program at Vanderbilt University. His initial research at the University of North Texas through the TAMS program prompted his renewed fascination for materials science. Working on the optimization of pro- cessing conditions in titanium alloys to achieve optimal biocompatibility earned him a Regeneron Semifinalist recognition and qual- ified him for the ISEF international science fair competition. With a desire to mentor other students, he took on the vice president role for the ASM Materials Advantage Chapter at the University of North Texas. Kumar has received the Van- derbilt Engineering Summer Research Scholarship to con- duct research in imaging science this summer and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in materials science in the future. Nisrit Pandey Carnegie Mellon University Nisrit Pandey is a second year Ph.D. student in the materials science and engineering department at Car- negie Mellon University (CMU). His research is focused on magnetic mate- rials and electronmicroscopy where he is working to establish a quantitative understanding of domain wall motion in synthetic antiferromagnets using Lorentz microscopy. After completing his doctoral program, Pandey plans to join industry or con- sulting to continue innovation in energy materials or data storage systems. He serves on the Graduate Student Advi- sory Committee and is a student member of the ASM-Pitts- burgh Chapter’s Executive Committee. Kumar Pandey Official ASM Annual Business Meeting Notice The Annual Business Meeting of members of ASM International will be held in conjunction with MS&T19 on: Monday, September 30 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Hilton Portland Downtown The purpose of the ASM Annual Business Meeting is the election of officers for the 2019-20 term and transaction of other Society business.
